NEW DELHI: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is preparing to offer over 150 sites and plots for sale through an e-auction at the end of next month, aiming to increase revenue by monetising vacant land and assets.
The properties span residential, industrial, institutional and group housing projects, as well as commercial uses, kiosks and food courts, including a café at Baansera.
The mega e-auction scheme, launched on DDA's foundation day, will open registrations on Dec 30 for plots located in prime areas. Officials said the sites fall under 11 categories and include both reclaimed and newly identified plots free from legal encumbrances.
The auction will feature 30 residential plots in Rohini and Rajendra Nagar, 20 institutional plots, 41 commercial plots, 14 industrial plots, one CNG station plot and two group housing plots in areas such as Dwarka. Additional offerings include Café Bamboo Oasis at Baansera, shops at Janak Place, five kiosks and a food court in Dwarka, all available on an annual licence fee basis.
"Till 2022, e-auctions were held every three months based on land data from various departments. However, due to RERA regulations, the process was suspended for nearly one-and-a-half years. Recently, we introduced a scheme for auctioning licensed properties and e-auctions are now being conducted frequently," an official said.
The last date for e-registration and submission of the earnest money deposit (EMD)—mandatory for all bidders—is Jan 27. DDA said the auction schedule will be finalised after the registration deadline and communicated via the auction portal, the DDA website and registered email IDs.
A help desk will be operational from Dec 30 to assist applicants and respond to queries. For support with digital signatures, registration,training or clarifications, applicants may contact the helpline numbers listed on the website between 11 am and 5 pm or visit the office of the Commissioner (Land Disposal) at Vikas Sadan.
